It’s true…Vimeo has released a Facebook application! (…which you can get here)

The app makes it super easy to share the videos you upload (or like) with your friends on Facebook. This is convenient because it allows all your friends to watch your videos within Facebook, without having to load any new pages, which is always nice.

This is what the Vimeo Blog had to say:

“The main benefit of adding a Vimeo box on your Facebook profile is to showcase up to date streams of videos you upload, like, and appear in. This allows your Facebook friends to see the videos you put on Vimeo.”

With Facebook booming, it was a good idea of Vimeo to get into the game. They’ll benefit from the branding they’ll receive among Facebook’s millions of users.

Vimeo.com seems like a hybrid between YouTube and Facebook; It’s social networking with a video backend. They dub it: “People Connecting Through Video,” which fits pretty nicely. They have awesome video quality, an inviting interface, and a brand new app to enjoy, so check it out for yourself.
